It’s been a long time coming and we’ve spent the last few days eating, breathing and sleeping the new site. We’ve spent more time in our pjs than ever – mainly because getting dressed would take us away from our laptops! We’ve text each other 3 times as much as we usually do, (and that’s a lot.) We have numb bums and computer mouse user's hands – but finally it’s finished!!! We hope you like it. We think you’ll find it just a little different from our clonky old website, that was developed nearly 9 years ago.

We now have a super duper site, selling fantastic new stuff, as well as our usual sparkly Dotty House products. We look more sophisticated but we still love a bit of GLITTER!!

Along with the new stuff, we have another new focus – celebrating all things Northern. We have some new products from new artists and local manufacturers all designed and made in the North of England.

Our First Blog is a Thank You to some of the people and businesses that have supported The Dotty House over the years.

URBAN RIVER have been our most recent supporters, having worked with us in designing our new branding and developing our fantastic website. We can’t recommend them enough! You’ll find them here -

SPEEDSCREEN PRINTERS – have been our longest supporters. We went to them in 2005 to screen print The Dotty House’s first canvas designs, and we have worked with them ever since.

JJ’s KITCHEN on Saltmeadows Road for supplying us with cheese savoury sandwiches to keep us going. You’ll find them here -

Thanks to also known as THE CENTRAL BAR - for supplying us with copious amounts of cider and lager to help keep the creative juices flowing. Hopefully we will be celebrating here later on this week!

Thank you – to our other halfs and our children – who have put up with us, stressing out, rambling on, neglecting them and the housework. We hope you think it’s all been worth it.

Anyway – that’s Blog number 1 done! Keep an eye out for further blogs when we will share our discoveries, new products, and lots of things Northern – from the best places to visit, to the worst, - from our many famous Northern people, to some of the unknown superheroes from The North. We’ll be doing research and value your thoughts and opinions on any of our blog topics. Thank you for reading - & GOODNIGHT! x
